Earlier this year, Katrina reached out to us with so much excitement about the venue she and Zach had chosen—Banchetti’s by Rizzo in Amherst, New York. With its elegant banquet rooms and stunning outdoor ceremony spaces, it was the perfect setting for their big day!
It was a cool mid-summer day, with just a hint of fall in the air. The gentle breeze even decided to join in, playfully adding some fun to a few photos!
The backdrop for their first look was magical, framed by tall pine trees. When Zach turned around and saw Katrina, the joy on his face was absolutely heartwarming! (I always feel so honored to capture these special moments.) Their long embrace afterward was equally touching.
The timeline for the day was laid-back and relaxed, allowing plenty of time for photos and hanging out with family and friends. Most of the family and bridal party photos were taken before the ceremony, which made everything run smoothly.
The ceremony itself took place in Banchetti’s charming gazebo, with Zach’s father officiating the vows. One of the bridesmaids gave a heartfelt reading, and you could feel the love as Katrina and Zach exchanged their vows with such intention. Their first kiss and the announcement of the newlyweds were perfectly timed, too!
Afterward, we had the chance to capture some generational photos and make the most of Banchetti’s picturesque grounds. Katrina and Zach had requested shots on the old train and by the antique wagon, and we were more than happy to oblige!
Once the formalities were over, the couple had time to mingle with their guests and enjoy the cocktail hour. Thanks to the pre-ceremony photos, they could relax and be present with their loved ones.
Katrina and Zach aren’t ones to stay in the spotlight for too long, so for their first dance, they came up with a sweet compromise. They started dancing together but soon invited the bridal party to join in. It was a lovely way to keep the moment personal without skipping the tradition entirely.
Every wedding should feel perfect for the couple, and this one truly was. We are so grateful to have captured the beginning of this beautiful Legacy of Love Studios.
